VIENNA - September 2016 – Le Méridien Vienna unveiled a 2,7 million Euro renovation of its whole ground floor. Arrival area, reception, restaurant and bar, conference rooms and public spaces all feature the innovative concept of ‘Le Méridien Hub’ that re-interprets the traditional hotel lobby into a social gathering place for creative minds to converse, debate and exchange. The renovated public spaces at Le Méridien Vienna offer both guests and locals a creative atmosphere with contemporary, locally curated artwork and an environment designed to promote dialogue, awaken curiosity and stimulate thinking.
It is the people who define a hotel and those who choose Le Méridien Vienna have always been one of a kind. Le Méridien Hub is the ideal stage for those who love to live life to the fullest, a space full of joie de vivre and international flare, which promises to stimulate and inspire.
This captivating environment has everything on offer that is necessary for a promising evening: Sparkling hour begins at 5pm, giving a chilled prelude to the evening; a taste of discovery is served at dinnertime between 7pm and 11pm; and Petit Plates highlight a variety of flavours from Vienna and around the world, invigorating all senses.
To celebrate this extensive renovation and the new Hub concept, Le Méridien Vienna hosted an exclusive event featuring a performance by Le Méridien partner and French bossa nova band Nouvelle Vague, marking the launch of their new album "I Could Be Happy", which will be released on November 4th. The evening was curated with culturally stimulating experiences and unique culinary moments for local trendsetters, influencers and hotel guests.
The opening event at Le Méridien Vienna featured all branded programs such as Illy coffee, éclairs and Sparkling aperitif inspired by the destination. Moet & Chandon hosted a special Moet Vintage Bar in the pool area, where famous visual artist Gerald Herlbauer performed scenes from La Piscine with Romy Schneider and Alain Delon. The event was a homage to Le Méridien French heritage and Vienna inspiring lifestyle.

The Hub concept builds on Le Méridien signature award-winning Arrival Experience and offers innovative programs catering to curious minded travellers such as its Master Barista-led coffee offerings, sparkling aperitif-inspired cocktail program and popular Unlock Art platform. Le Méridien Hub is divided into three experience zones: Arrival Experience, Interaction Zone and Bar offering everything from coffeehouse environment by day to a sparkling-inspired setting by night.
As a creative meeting place where like-minded people and newfound friends can indulge in special moments, The Hub at Le Méridien will offer a 24-hour soundtrack curated by Nouvelle Vague. The Bar offers a cuisine that spans local and international recipes with small plates for personal enjoyment or to taste and share together. The curated soundtrack, combined with effervescent spritzers and cocktails, will transition Le Méridien Hub from day to night, offering a modern twist to the social ritual of cocktail hour.
